The Army For God was started by a vision from God given to John. John saw this desperate and lonely world through the eyes of God. A world that needed a difference with something...DIFFERENT. Jesus never ministered the same way. Different people need to be reached in different ways by any means necessary. The only thing that Jesus kept the same were the principles and charteristics of God. God's word never wavers, never lies, and never falls short. It's our rock we need to stand on.
From a young age Heidi always knew she was different than everyone else. She also felt the need to reach people who didn't know about God. She also did this in many different ways. Before John & Heidi started dating God started to work in Heidi in many ways. Then one day, Heidi was plucked right out of her "ordinary life" and was given the mantle that she had been waiting for. God decided to do it right in the middle of one of her college courses. God began to minister to the world through Heidi at a whole new level.
That's what we are here for isn't it? To make a difference? To be different? So how do we do this? How do we reach all of the different parts of the world? The parts that no one would even dare bring God into. The answer is simple. We do it by being different. We do it by stepping out of our comfort zone. We do it by being friends with the world, but not being of it. This takes getting out ot the church "box" and by being obediant to God. We do it by raising people up to our level, not going down to their's. But even when we do this, we can't be scared of their level. We have to hold on tight and reach down to them and bring them up.
We can't look average! We can't be average. Don't you want to know why? BECAUSE WE AREN'T! We are different. It's time we let our past die in Christ and look to what God holds for our future. You can't move forward when you keep looking backwards. It's time for battle! It's time to join the Army! The Army of difference makers for God. To lay down our own lives, wants, and desires for the cause of Jesus Christ! For The Great Commission. To fight with LOVE, GRACE, and MERCY. So go ahead and stand out, be different, BE YOURSELF!
